Teamwork and Creativity – part of Intracol Traineeship Program 2018

For the 4th consecutive year Intracol, a BULPROS company, invited young IT talents to take part in a two-week traineeship program (from 2nd July to 13th July 2018). The program intended to introduce the students to the experienced Intracol mentors and together to create a new software solution.  The participants had the opportunity to experience a real working environment and the possibility to improve not only their technical competence, but to learn how to work in a team and develop their presentation skills.

The trainees, 11th graders at TUES and second-year students at TU, were divided into two mixed teams called Delinux and Javanile. Their task was to create a web system for searching and publishing shared trips.  The so developed solution allowed any registered user to add shared travel information, additional data and a list of their private cars. The systems were based on REST architecture, consisting of a client and a server. The different features were implemented by using various technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, AJAX, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JWT, JDBC, MySQL

The skillful and dedicated mentors – Stanimir Penkov and Angel Botev (Software Developers) worked closely with both teams and shared their knowledge and experience. “We were really pleased with the excellent work of the two teams and the results they have achieved”, they said.

At the end of the traineeship program the students presented live demos of their projects in front of the Intracol team, including the CEO – Martin Tsotchev and Alexander Tzonev, a co-founder of Intracol and CTO at BULPROS.
